Practical bookkeeping, payroll, financial statements and CRA compliance — a direct path to bookkeeper and accounting technician roles, with a clear CPA PEP pathway.
This certificate trains students in all the core accounting tasks employers need in small and mid-size businesses. QuickBooks and Excel are covered extensively. Credits transfer toward the BrightlyEd Business Administration Diploma if you choose to continue.
Graduates may apply for advanced standing in the CPA PEP program. Credits recognized subject to CPA Alberta assessment.
Procurement, inventory, transportation, customs and ERP systems — aligned to CSCMP standards and Calgary's energy and construction supply chain sectors.
Calgary is a logistics hub for Western Canada — energy, agriculture, and retail supply chains all flow through the city. This certificate prepares students with both theoretical knowledge and software skills (SAP basics, Excel, TMS platforms) demanded by Calgary employers.
Recruitment, compensation, Alberta Employment Standards, OHS and labour relations — a CPHR Alberta-aligned curriculum for aspiring HR professionals.
Human resources is one of the fastest growing professional fields in Alberta. This certificate covers the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to termination, with heavy emphasis on Alberta-specific legislation including the Employment Standards Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Labour Relations Code.
This certificate aligns with CPHR Alberta's Knowledge of Management exam prerequisites. Graduates may pursue the CPHR designation with additional experience.
Start, launch or grow a business — business planning, financing, sales, legal structures, digital presence and investor readiness. Access to BrightlyEd's Startup Hub.
Calgary's entrepreneurship ecosystem is booming — this program connects students directly with the city's startup and small business community. Students work with a real business idea throughout the program and pitch to Calgary investors and mentors in the final module.
Students get 12 months of co-working space access, mentor matching, and invitations to Calgary's startup investor events. Located on campus, Room B200.
Scope, schedule, budget, risk, Agile/Scrum, MS Project and Jira — aligned to PMI standards and designed to prepare students for the CAPM exam.
Every organization runs on projects — this certificate provides the frameworks, tools and vocabulary that employers expect from project coordinators. Students build a complete project plan from initiation through closeout and present it as a final assessment. PMI's CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) exam preparation is embedded throughout.
CAPM requires 23 hours of PM education — this program provides 120+. Practicum hours also count toward PMP experience accumulation.
Priority deadline for Fall 2025 is April 1. Seats are limited — apply early.
